Amelia Bellamount
"A Lesson in History of Relationships"
Family: There isn't much to tell about Amelia's former life. Her name tells that she came from a family of French descent, but she was left to fend for her herself when her parents perished during the years of her childhood that she cannot remember. Her death being her father's fault because he entered into a devil's contract. Her father ritualistically killed her mother to enter the contract, but would try to loop hole the deal by performing a dark resurrection to bring her back. Only the devil would not let him succeed and took both of their souls right away. Of course because of the sin her parents committed she would be forced to fulfill the contract with the devil, gaining infernal ties in her blood.
Liesel: Amelia's right hand maid. Shoulder length hair in a soft tint teal and eyes to match it, except when they shift red. She may have a smaller frame, but she is quick and elusive. Although she prefers to hide under a false pretense and use of silent assassination methods such as poison and strings. So under the profile of a maid she keeps an eye on Amelia when she is home at one of the manors or summerhouses. She has been the only one trustworthy of her dirty little secrets with her lips sealed and locked up until this point. She cleans Amelia's bloody slate with her skull vacuum ready in hand and is there to give consolation as well as defend her Mistress's life to the end. Especially for the most important common bonding factor that brings them together; being inhuman. Though it is rare to see her little bat wings sprout.
Zarola: The sharpshooting Lerajie that guards the rooftops of Amelia's homesteads. She hardly speaks, but Amelia and Zarola do not need the constant exchange of words for an understanding of their relationship. There is care, respect, and lifelong work with Amelia, who pays Zarola very well to ensure that she can rest her head at night.
Kilik: The first man to come to Amelia's manor and not get the life sucked out of him. A king demon of wolves, she was no threat to him. However, another succubus that broke in attempted to take him and in the process destroyed the manor due to the high amounts of catastrophic energy expelled in battle. Amelia was devastated, but luckily none of her house servants were harmed, but unfortunately she had to give them up as she no longer had somewhere for them to work and stay. So she sent Liesel to take them to another place for sheltering. Amelia had more than one home after all and so those that still dared to work for her would take up new residency at one of them. Amelia and Leisel said their goodbyes for a time being as Amelia wasn't in any shape to travel thanks to her intruder's efforts.
If it weren't for Kilik's help, she would not have killed the other of her kind and obtained her first treasured piece belonging to the God of Darkness; his Eyes. And so this was the beginning of her search and while Kilik feeling responsible for the loss of Amelia's home and putting innocent lives in danger, she took the opportunity of having him take her along with him. Reluctantly, he decided to take her to a safer town, since there was no way that she could continue to stay in a place that looked like it went through demolition. Not to mention the townspeople and religious radicals had their suspicions of her that she was the sole reason for the lost and missing lives of male townsmen and wandering travelers. Indeed she was, but demons have to live too, no? It would have been long before imperial knights and holy men decided to force her out, attempt to contain her, or kill her otherwise.
So Kilik and Amelia traveled to his home where she was able to recover. A town where humans and demons were secretly and unknowingly coexisting with each other, or at least those of monstrous nature were aware. Of course Kilik was on his own quest to find a powerful demonic organization responsible for killing his wife years ago. Although despite this, he found himself caring for Amelia the more they ventured together. The same could have been said for Amelia even though she had attempted to seduce him several times.
Amelia found work in an underground club as an entertainer and private hostess where she found Kilik's first lead through the guest books and appointment listings. Amelia set up the plan to entertain a night that a few of its sought members would be holding a meeting and when the time was right let Kilik take matters into his own hands while acquiring information for his next step towards his revenge. The two made a violent mess of things and were banned from the club. The two continued to travel together as a pair until Amelia's jealousy and temper could no longer handle other female monsters trying to seduce and take him seemingly every step of the way. Feeling that she would be better off traveling alone she parted ways with him with a hardened heart.
Esmeraude: A mysterious woman living in Kilik's home town as a seamstress although also works as a club hostess. As a young girl she knew Kilik although he never heard of her. Secretly desiring Kilik she watched over him from afar until one day their paths were drawn together when Amelia who picked up work through her called on Esmeraude's aid to help Kilik when he was heavily wounded by a previous demon encounter.
The organization Kilik has been chasing happen to be returning customers of her club hidden from the eyes of humans. Esmeraude knew little of Kilik and Amelia's scheme to attack the group in the private rooms of her workplace until after it was too late and the damage was done. Enraged and fearful that she would get unwanted attention from the organization and that her club would obtain a bad reputation she immediately banned Kilik and Amelia. Perhaps in time she would forgive Kilik, but until then they were better off keeping their distance and laying low.
Jack: Esmeraude's cat. Black fur with a crooked tail and rather crazy looking eyes of green although he hides that he has the power to morph into human likeness. However, Esmeraude hardly permits him to do so and would rather him remain as a cat to be the eyes around town. He mostly works in illusions to his and Esmeraude's benefit and can also telepathically speak if he so chooses.
