Freyna of Rykros
"A Lesson in History of Relationships"
Family: Not much is known about Freyna's family and origins except that she came from a peaceful planet made of celestial crystal known as Rykros. For aeons it was hidden in the deep depths of the Algo System in space and could only be seen or navigated to with the Aero Prism. The Aero-Prism is a crystal with the special power of revealing that which has been hidden. Its origins are unknown, but the crystal has been used by the heroes of Algo many times.
The first known user of the Aero-Prism was Alis Landale, who called on the crystal to reveal Lashiec's secret Air Castle. Following her adventure, Alis passed the crystal into the keeping of Lutz. Lutz in turn gave it to Rolf, who located cloaked dungeons on Dezoris. Following Rolf's adventure, the Aero-Prism again returned to Lutz, through means unknown. Lutz stored the Aero-Prism on Motavia, in a building known as the Soldier's Temple, sometime after AW 1284. In AW 2284, Chaz Ashley and Rune Walsh were part of a group who retrieved the crystal from that resting place. They used the power of the item to discover the cloaked planet, Rykros. However, the prisms whereabouts now are unknown.
Arten: Freyna was kept in some form of cryogenic for years on an abandoned Marduk ship. Attached to wiring and tubes of all sorts. She hung from a ceiling of transparent liquid held by some strange extraterrestrial gravitational force. Arten used a raise platform to reach her and pulled her out from her place of holding. After retrieving her, he took her to his own ship and waited for her to come to so that he could find out about her origins.
Unfortunately, Freyna couldn't remember anything from her past let alone her own name until enough time allow for little details to come back to her one by one. Everything else would have to be triggered by events linking to her past. In the meantime Arten decided to take Freyna in as his trainee and teach her the arts of light saber swordsmanship. Freyna's mind like a sponge soaked up much of Arten's teachings rather quickly and it wasn't long before her lessons took her into battle with him. There was however a time when word spread across the galaxies and a Marduk ship tried to take Freyna back explaining part of what she was. Freyna didn't want to return to the Marduk and with Arten's support and protection, she didn't have to.
As more of her past was unraveled, she could not deny the powers and skills becoming more apparent in battle. The rest of the pieces to her being surfaced when she and Arten came across his planet that had been destroyed in war. While the two of them searched for his little sister in a cryogenic container used to keep her in safety from the the destruction, Freyna's mind was attacked by flashbacks of a nightmare heavily buried in her subconscious. She remembered the outbreak of war that destroyed her own planet along with her family and purpose in life; for she was born a celestial princess.
Some time after that Freyna decided to take up a journey of her own to find herself. Freyna slipped to the Dark Side, but it was upon the next time she and Arten crossed paths again that she regained sight of herself through the power and strength of their love. She found acceptance in her abilities and was able to mesh them with something for good in becoming a high priestess. She would at last be awakened to become a warrior princess.
Kit: One of Arten's closest friends and partner in watching over Freyna's growth. She was part animal of feline characteristics and part human. As Arten was seemingly distant and cold in the beginning, Kit was a breath of fresh air making lessons and life on Arten's ship easier to adjust and cope with. Kit's presence allowed let Freyna see a happier side of Arten which gave her relief from him and his sometimes stiff personality.
Tiana: Arten's little sister. Freyna and Arten released her from a safe holding cryogenic capsule where what was left of his house on his destroyed planet. Tiana's presence also let Freyna see a softer side in Arten as she was his little joy. Tiana in her innocence was a well mannered and benevolent girl, although Freyna didn't have the time or pleasure of getting to know her very well before their party split.
The Marduk: A humanoid alien race that made their first appearance when they arrived in the Solar System with enslaved races of Zentradi and Meltlandi warriors who are seemingly unaffected by the Minmay Attack which was song used to defend against enemy Zentran forces. The Marduk employ their own female singers, called Emulators, who incite their giant warriors with songs. Their singing enhances the aggressive tendencies of the Zentradi warriors in the Marduk armies and allows the Marduk to control the Zentradi.
However, the legendary ship of the Alus was found, an entity prophesied in the Marduk culture to bring peace to Marduk. After the Marduk found peace there was no longer any need for emulator positions and so most resigned their places. However, few were broken and were sealed away to keep the peace; one of which was Freyna who went berserk.
